Yangdong Folk Village

About the attraction

The Son and Yi families have shared this village since the early Joseon period, and it joined Hahoe on the UNESCO list. Tiled houses stand up the hill and thatched ones below — where a house sat depended on rank. More than a hundred and fifty old houses remain, and descendants still live in many, so a good number cannot be entered. Admission is charged. The village is large and hilly, so allow about two hours.
