Privacy Policy

There is no separate sign-up. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile image from Google. We never receive or store a password.

Using the Service records the following automatically: the path of the screen visited, the language, the device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), where you arrived from, and the time of the visit.

We store reviews and ratings you write, and the places you bookmark.

Distinguishing repeat visits requires some way to tell visitors apart. The Service does not store your IP address as it is; it keeps only an irreversible transformation of it, from which the original address cannot be recovered.

When recording where you arrived from, the query string is discarded, so search terms and similar details are never stored.

The advertising vendors described in section 4 are separate businesses and process data under their own terms. They may collect information that the Service itself does not.

Sign-in details are used only to identify you and to attach your bookmarks and reviews to your account.

Visit records are used to understand which screens are actually read, so the Service can be improved. They are not used to identify or profile individuals.

We do not sell the data we collect to anyone.

The Service carries advertising through Google AdSense to cover its running costs.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Service or other websites. That process is carried out by the vendors themselves; the Service neither reads nor stores the contents of those cookies.

Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads.

Cookies set by vendors other than Google can be declined at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.com.

Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used.

kv — a random value used to tell visitors apart. It holds no personal data and is used only to avoid counting the same view twice. It lasts one year.

lang — remembers the language you chose.

Session cookie — keeps you signed in. It disappears when you sign out.

Advertising cookies — set by Google and its partner vendors. These are not created or managed by the Service.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though you may not stay signed in and ads may become less relevant.

The Service runs on facilities provided by: Google LLC (sign-in and advertising), Supabase Inc. (database and image storage, Tokyo region), and Railway Corp. (server hosting).

We do not otherwise provide your personal data to third parties, except where a law enforcement authority requires it through lawful process.

Account details are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Visit records are kept only as long as they are needed for statistics, and deleted afterwards.

Reviews remain until you delete them or an administrator hides them.

Cookies set by advertising vendors are retained according to those vendors' own policies.

You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a halt to the processing of your personal data. Write to the contact below and we will act without delay.

If you ask for your account to be deleted, your account details, reviews and bookmarks are deleted with it.
