Taejongdae

About the attraction

At the southern tip of Yeongdo, wave-cut cliffs run one into the next; it is designated a national scenic site. Walking from the entrance to the lighthouse and lookout takes over an hour, so most people ride the circular train and get off where they like. Below the cliffs, haenyeo divers sell what they have just brought up, and a sightseeing boat shows the cliffs from the water. Parking is ample.
