Jinjuseong Fortress

About the attraction

Two major battles of the Imjin War were fought here, and the walls run along the cliff above the Nam River. Chokseongnu pavilion stands over the water, and the rock below it is where Nongae is said to have thrown herself. The Jinju National Museum is inside the walls; the museum is free and only entering the fortress is charged. Public parking sits in front at a low rate. In autumn a lantern festival floats lights along the river.
