Jeongseon Arirang Market

About the attraction

The permanent stalls open daily, but the market is itself on market days. On dates ending in two or seven, people come down with mountain greens and medicinal roots. Gondre rice, buckwheat crepes and kotdeungchigi noodles — thick enough, they say, to slap you on the nose — are what you eat here. On market days a tourist train runs into Jeongseon station and the whole area fills. Parking is easier at the free riverside lot than beside the market.
