Incheon Chinatown

About the attraction

The street formed when Chinese merchants settled after Incheon opened to trade in 1883, and jajangmyeon is held to have begun here. A museum devoted to that history occupies a former Qing consulate building. From the red gate the climb leads on to painted lanes and the Songwol-dong fairy-tale village. Several long-standing Chinese restaurants line the way, but parking is tight, so walking from Incheon Station is easier.
