Hwaseong Haenggung

About the attraction

Jeongjo built it alongside Suwon's Hwaseong fortress as a temporary palace, and it sits inside the walls. By day, martial arts demonstrations and reenacted court ceremonies are staged in the courtyard. For a set period each year it also opens after dark, and walking the lit halls is what made its name. Admission is modest, day or night. Most public car parks nearby give the first hour free.
