Asia Culture Center (ACC)

About the attraction

Built on the site of the old South Jeolla provincial hall, it was sunk below ground, so from the street it reads as a low grassy rise. That lawn is Haneul Madang, where the city sits out in the evenings. Inside are galleries, theatres and a children's wing; much of the standing programme is free, and only the theatre performances are ticketed. Seeing it properly takes half a day. The lawn closes periodically to let the grass recover.
