Gwanbangjerim

About the attraction

Under King Injo of Joseon a levee was raised to stop the Damyang stream flooding, and trees were planted along it. Those trees have grown three or four hundred years into a two-kilometre stand of old timber, now a designated natural monument. Most are hackberry and muku, so the shade is deep in summer and the autumn colour falls towards the water. There is no admission and no set hours. Juknokwon and the noodle street are within walking distance, and the three are usually done together.
