About the attraction

The cape juts sharply into the East Sea, so on any given day the sun arrives here first — a few minutes ahead even of Jeongdongjin. That brings the crowds on New Year's Day, but it is quiet the rest of the time. A white lighthouse and an outsized postbox stand on the headland, and postcards dropped in that box really are delivered. It is open at any hour with no admission or parking fee. A path follows the shore.
