About the attraction

The neighbourhood clings to the hill behind Tongyeong's Jungang Market. It was nearly demolished; painting the walls is what brought people. The murals are recommissioned every few years, so there is no guarantee that a picture you saw before is still there. From the top of the hill you look down on Gangguan harbour and its boats. There is no admission. People live in these lanes — don't look over walls or raise your voice.
