Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond

About the attraction

A detached palace for the Silla crown prince, with a pond dug in front of it. In the Joseon period it was called Anapji, the pond of geese and ducks. Three reconstructed halls stand at the water's edge, and when the lighting comes up at night they invert perfectly on the surface. That image is why the evening crowd outnumbers the daytime one. Open nine in the morning to ten at night, with ticketing closing at 9:30. In summer the lotus fields alongside are worth seeing too.
