Cheomseongdae

About the attraction

Held to have been built under Queen Seondeok of Silla, it ranks among the oldest surviving astronomical structures in East Asia, still standing as the three hundred and sixty-odd stones were laid. It sits unfenced in open ground, so you can walk up to it at any hour, free. Lighting comes on after dark and changes it entirely, and in autumn pink muhly spreads across the adjoining field and draws crowds. Daereungwon and Hwangnidan-gil are within walking distance.
