Changgyeonggung Palace

About the attraction

Built as the residence of the royal elders, it faces east, unlike the other palaces. Inside stands a glass greenhouse of 1909, the first Western-style conservatory in Korea. Alone among the five palaces it stays open until nine every evening, which makes it a place to walk after dark. Last entry is eight, and it closes Mondays. Autumn brings crowds for the maples and ginkgos around Chundangji pond. It has its own car park.
