Chaeseokgang Cliffs

About the attraction

It is not a river but a sea cliff. Sediment laid down over ages has been cut back by the waves, exposing a face like tens of thousands of books piled flat. At low tide you can walk the rocks beneath the cliff into the sea caves; the flood covers them, so check the tide before going. The rock is wet and slippery. It is always open, with no admission or parking charge. Gyeokpo harbour and its beach are right alongside.
