Gamcheon Culture Village

About the attraction

Houses built by refugees on the slope stack in layers, and painting them is what made the village look as it does. There is no admission, and the lanes take about two hours to walk. You can buy a map and collect stamps along the way, and shops rent hanbok or school uniforms. There are a great many steps, so shoes matter, and the narrow lanes make parking difficult — public transport is the better arrival. It is worth remembering that people live here.
