Beomeosa Temple

About the attraction

Founded in the Silla period and continuous since, it is Busan's largest temple. It sits partway up Geumjeongsan, so the approach is through forest. Jogyemun — a gate carrying its roof on just four pillars — is its best-known structure. Entry costs nothing; only parking is charged. It opens at eight in the morning and closes at five. A templestay programme lets you spend the night, and the autumn foliage brings the biggest crowds.
